Grok Bot Can Now Shop for Your Kids' Gifts (and Stop Tracking When They Arrive)
Elon Musk had Grok Bot research and order LEGO for his kids. What that means for household shopping, the Amazon limit, and the new purchase guarantee.
What was shown
On October 11, Elon Musk posted that he asked Grok Bot to research the most fun Lego Star Wars kits for young kids and order them (post). Two days later he said the sets arrived and the Bot stopped checking shipping status on its own (post).
Why it matters for parents
Birthday gifts, school supplies, a last-minute replacement charger: the research-compare-order loop is exactly the kind of errand that eats a parent's evening. Musk also posted that if Grok Bot makes a purchase mistake or leaks your card, SpaceX will make you whole (post).
The limits to know
Users have reported Amazon blocking agent orders; Musk's answer is to have the Bot buy from other stores instead (post). Saving website passwords isn't available yet — Musk replied "Coming very soon" when asked (post). Keep a family rule that any purchase waits for your approval.
The step-by-step walkthrough is in our Amazon & Household Shopping ($27 PDF). Upload it to your Grok Bot and it walks you through it. See Amazon & Shopping
