How to give Grok Bot its own email address

By Robby Thurston ·

Quick answer

The Grok Bot changelog (v0.70.2, Oct 11, 2026) says Bots can claim their own email address and receive mail there, and that email they send from it waits for your approval on a draft card.

Families can forward school, coach, and activity mail to that address so the household bot sorts it without reading your whole inbox.

Steps

  1. Ask your household bot to claim an email address. Pick a plain name you'll recognise.
  2. Approve the claim. Addresses are permanent, so choose carefully.
  3. Set a forwarding rule in your own mail account for school, team, and activity senders.
  4. Tell the bot what to do with forwarded mail: sort by child, propose calendar events, and draft replies only.
  5. Test with one forwarded email before relying on it.
