How to set up a Grok Bot morning briefing
Create one routine that runs each morning, asks every room for its briefing section, and puts the result in chat and a dated file in Google Drive. Grok Bot routines run on a schedule, and the changelog added pause and resume (v0.52.0).
Steps
- Connect Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive.
- In chat, ask for a briefing now with sections: Mailroom, Appointment book, Ledger, School, House, Key cabinet.
- Correct the order and length until it reads well on a phone.
- Ask the Bot to save it as a daily routine at your time (The Butler uses 7:45 AM as an example) and to save a dated copy in Google Drive.
- If you want it by email, have the Bot write a draft to yourself; the changelog says email from a Bot's address waits for your approval on a draft card (v0.70.2).
Section wording from The Butler rooms
- Key cabinet: security emails to check and new accounts waiting to be added. Never include passwords or codes.
- Filing cabinet: what was filed yesterday, anything unclassified, and due dates found in new documents.
- Business: client emails needing you, drafts waiting, invoices due or overdue, and deadlines this week.
