Grok Bot Login: How to Sign In
There is no separate Grok Bot login. Grok Bot uses the shared xAI sign-in, which may show Grok or xAI branding. [docs.x.ai] Open the app, choose Sign in, finish in your browser, then return to Grok Bot. [docs.x.ai] Signing in does not link or merge your X, Grok or Cursor accounts or change your plan. [docs.x.ai]
Not a chatbot. A bot that does the work, again and again.
Grok Bot is not a regular chat. It is not ChatGPT, not the Grok chat app, and not a Google search box. You set it up once, and then it performs real actions over and over, on its own schedule, without you starting each run.
The part that makes this possible is a routine: a job that runs on a schedule or after an event, and keeps running in the background with your laptop closed. [docs.x.ai] xAI says each Bot has its own computer and keeps working when you close the app. [x.ai/bot] Here are real family routines from our library:
- School email sweep: weekdays in the afternoon, it sorts school mail by child.
- What's tomorrow: Sunday to Thursday evenings, a checklist by child of what to sign, pack and hand in.
- Sunday reset: every Sunday evening, the week ahead, conflicts and dates due in 30 days.
- Weekly meal plan: next week's dinners and missing items, waiting for your yes.
- Monthly subscription review: on the 1st, every recurring charge and renewal, for you to decide.
You stay in charge. xAI recommends requiring approval for sending, purchasing, deleting and publishing, [docs.x.ai] and the changelog says that before an action it can't undo, such as sending, posting, buying or deleting, a Bot checks with you. [Grok Bot changelog] You can pause a routine any time.
Sign in on desktop
- Open the Grok Bot app (download it here).
- Choose Sign in. In the app, Settings also has Sign In with Cursor.
- Finish in the browser window, then return to Grok Bot.
- If your access comes from SuperGrok, link it when asked: Settings → Usage & Billing → Get Access with Grok.
Sign in on iPhone or Android
Open the app, choose the sign-in option, and complete the prompts with the account you mean to use. If access comes from a Grok subscription, use Link Grok Account, then Finished Linking? Refresh My Status. [docs.x.ai] [docs.x.ai]
If sign-in does not work
- Update to the current version and start again from the app. [docs.x.ai]
- Keep Grok Bot open while the browser step runs; return to the app yourself if needed. [docs.x.ai]
- Check you chose the right account if you have more than one. [docs.x.ai]
- A "Legacy Privacy Mode" error means the account data setting doesn't allow Grok Bot's storage. [docs.x.ai]
- Signing out of Grok does not sign you out of X. [docs.x.ai]
Once in, start with a family routine like the daily calendar check.

FAQ
Is there a separate Grok Bot login?
No. Grok Bot uses the shared xAI sign-in path. [docs.x.ai]
Why does the Grok Bot sign-in page say Grok or xAI?
Cursor and Grok share a sign-in page, so it may show Grok or xAI branding. [docs.x.ai]
Does signing in link my X and Grok accounts?
No. Signing in only authenticates you; it does not link or combine accounts or switch plans. [docs.x.ai]
Grok Bot sign-in won't finish. What now?
Keep the app open while the browser step runs, return to it manually, and sign in again. If it still fails, contact Support with the error and a screenshot. [docs.x.ai] [docs.x.ai]
